Shoes and Monsters
Lo monstruoso no sólo aparece en lo natural, sino que se fomenta, se busca, se construye a través de los accesorios que el ser humano aplica a su propio quehacer diario. O simplemente en la mirada a la alteridad podemos identificar lo monstruoso en tanto que diferencia. Y ésta puede dirigirse hacia los rasgos físicos, o una vez más hacia las costumbres, los modos y usos quizás de los accesorios que proporcionan la identidad a un grupo cultural.

The monstruosity does not appear only in natural objects, but it is promoted, researched and constructed by the accesories that humans apply to their dialy life. Or simply we can identify the monstruosity staring at the otherness looking for the difference. This one can be pointed toward the physical features, or to the customs, the ways and the uses of the accessories that bring the identity to a cultural community.
That is how The Bata Shoe Museum becomes an interesting place where we can feel Delicate Monsters. The traveler is placed in front of his human condition.

Impresionante este doble figurado, muy cercano al tema comentado por Jean-Paul Colleyn.
